Shoevasations!
Shoevasations!

Much to the dismay of hubby and my bank account, I have had a long standing affair with…  drumroll please…SHOES! They are absolutely absolutely my favourite accessory (yep, shoes are accessories!) They are more than accessories they are change agents; they change your posture, make you stand better, walk better, boost your confidence and can make your outfit ‘blah’ or make them outstanding! LOL! As I write that, I realise that I sound like an addict! Addict shoeaholic!

Well, enjoy these pictures of my babies, taken by my lil one!

I just had to put this in. My little photographer took a picture of his feet and mine! How cute!

I love this Graceland shoes, they were a huge huge bargain and they multi-task so well- can be worn with blue, pink, cream or black outfits! Absolutely yum and summery!

If shoes could talk! These my blue Zara’s have been everywhere with me! They are absolutely lovely and comfortable! They do jeans, work wear and trad!

These shoes from Dune, really pretty, quite impractical as the diamanté digs into your toes the longer you wear it, but it’s well worth it, just remove your shoes when you are seated, LOL!

With this Dummond shoes it was absolutely love at first sight! I saw them at the Mall of the Emirates when my “allowance” was finished! I begged the magnificent hubby who said he had to see them first and when we got to the store, even he, fell in love!
Absolutely gorgeous!

My Dune Gucci-alike shoes! LOL! Love them, the heels are very reasonable so great for moving around but very classy! My shoes don’t get a break, once I love it, I love it! I wore and still wear these shoes, if you zoom in, you’d see one of the horsebits is broken, the last time I wore it I mended it with a toothpick and wore it out! Lol! Sorry, I don’t believe in waste or not flogging a dead horse!

One of my two and only flats! I bought these because both my hubby and my dear friend Faith Arigbe threatened to seize my white trainers if I wore them to travel again! (Sad face smiley! Who says white trainers are only for the gym anyway!)

My Nine West shoes with block heels! These shoes have a whole story! Our affair started at the V & A Mall in Cape Town and still goes on!

These have to be the best things with Paris Hilton’s name on them! Exquisite! This was not love at first sight though (I wonder why?), my sister (www.theramblingswan.wordpress.com) and my sister-in-love (thefrontrowshopping.com) convinced me to buy it and now people say things like “you are wearing your best shoe again”! Lol! Luckily, I am like a man- I don’t get hints! Wink!
These lovely silver Russell & Bromley shoes! I wore them for my wedding 7 years ago! I love this pair for its look and it's sentimental value. As a young couple planning our wedding, we went to visit a friend- Lola Odunsi, and she says "what don't you have yet" and I said my wedding shoes, she asked why and I described the kind of shoes I'd like and that I'd want them in silver (so I can re-wear, I wasn't going to wear any pair of shoes just once), but that I still hadn't found ones like that. 2 weeks later, I get a call from Lola who had just returned from the UK, and she handed these to me! I can remember crying a lot that night! I was moved by her kindness and thoughtfulness and I have so many stories like this. God has blessed me to see kindness and love in this land of the living! Thank you Lola! 7 years on, I'm still rocking these babies!

Ok, this is me just having fun! This blog post was inspired by http://www.wendyslookbook.com and http://www.featherfactor.com. I love learning and I learn about every subject matter. Very recently, I stumbled on the Feather Factor website and that led me to read a book called “Bringing Home the Birkin” which I loved and then I started looking for more people whose passion is fashion and found Wendy’s blog! Though I don’t consider myself a fashionista by any means, I only think about about fashion in terms of appropriateness and probably co-ordination, this morning, I thought, why not do a fashion-like blog post! Tell me what you think and if you like it, I’ll conduct interviews with fashionistas I know and you and I would learn a thing or two from them! Don’t forget to be awesome this week!
